01 / Agreement

Acceptance and eligibility

By creating an account, purchasing credit, generating an API key, or otherwise using the services available at worldgateapi.com (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. “WorldGate,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the operator of the Service.

You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use the Service for a company or other organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind it, and “you” includes that organisation. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

02 / Accounts

Your account and credentials

• Provide accurate account information and keep it current.
• Keep passwords, authentication factors, API keys, and recovery information confidential. API keys must remain in trusted server-side environments and must not be embedded in public client code.
• You are responsible for activity performed through your account or keys until you notify us and revoke the affected credential.
• Use separate keys where practical, review usage, and promptly report suspected unauthorised access.
• You may not sell, transfer, lease, or share an account in a way that circumvents these Terms or applicable limits.

We may require additional verification when reasonably necessary to protect an account, investigate fraud, comply with law, or restore access.

03 / The Service

An API gateway, not the model provider

WorldGate provides an OpenAI-compatible gateway that routes eligible requests to third-party AI model infrastructure. Available models, endpoints, features, context limits, rate limits, prices, and upstream providers may change. A model name used on WorldGate may identify a routed offering and does not imply sponsorship or endorsement by the owner of a similar trademark.

You are responsible for testing the Service and model output for your use case. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, non-unique, or unsuitable. Do not rely on output as the sole basis for decisions that could materially affect a person’s rights, health, safety, finances, employment, housing, education, or legal position.

04 / Acceptable use

Use the Service lawfully and safely

You must comply with applicable law, these Terms, technical documentation, and any restrictions that apply to the upstream model you select. You must not use the Service to:

• create, distribute, or facilitate unlawful content or activity, fraud, phishing, spam, malware, credential theft, or unauthorised surveillance;
• exploit, sexualise, groom, or endanger children, or create child sexual abuse material;
• promote or enable violence, terrorism, human trafficking, or the acquisition or use of weapons in violation of law;
• infringe privacy, publicity, intellectual property, confidentiality, or other rights;
• make prohibited automated high-impact decisions without lawful authority, meaningful human review, and appropriate safeguards;
• bypass rate limits, payment controls, authentication, safety systems, access restrictions, or model/provider policies;
• probe, scan, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, scrape, or access the Service or another user’s data without written authorisation;
• resell or expose the Service in a manner that conceals abuse, misrepresents WorldGate, or creates unreasonable operational or legal risk; or
• submit secrets, regulated personal data, or other highly sensitive information unless you have assessed the risks, obtained all required rights and consent, and implemented suitable safeguards.

You remain responsible for your applications, end users, inputs, outputs, notices, consent flows, and moderation. We may enforce additional reasonable safeguards to protect users, providers, and the Service.

05 / Billing

Prepaid credit, charges, and refunds

Standard usage is prepaid. Published model rates are normally expressed in USD per one million tokens; local-currency amounts may be estimates until checkout. Each request may reserve an estimated maximum charge and then settle against measured usage. Token counts supplied by the routed provider or our metering systems are the basis for billing.

• Credit. Account credit is a limited, non-transferable right to consume the Service. It is not a bank deposit, stored-value account, or cryptocurrency and has no cash value except where law requires otherwise.
• Prices. We may change prices prospectively. The rate shown when a request is accepted applies to that request. Taxes, network fees, exchange-rate effects, and payment-processor charges may apply.
• Payment. Payment methods are provided by independent processors. You authorise the selected processor and WorldGate to complete the transaction and credit your account after confirmed settlement.
• Promotions. Promotional codes or free tokens may have eligibility, model, network, account, expiry, and campaign limits. They are not transferable or redeemable for cash and may be cancelled for abuse.
• Refunds. Except where required by law, completed top-ups and consumed usage are non-refundable. If a confirmed payment is not credited or a verified billing error occurs, contact us promptly so we can investigate and correct the account.
• Chargebacks. An unjustified reversal or disputed payment may result in the corresponding credit being removed and the account being restricted while the matter is investigated.

You are responsible for reviewing usage and keeping sufficient balance. Service access may stop when available credit is insufficient.

06 / Content

Your inputs and outputs

As between you and WorldGate, you retain your rights in content you submit (“Input”) and, to the extent permitted by law and applicable provider terms, output returned to you (“Output”). You grant WorldGate a limited, worldwide licence to host, transmit, transform, and process Input and Output only as needed to operate, secure, meter, troubleshoot, and provide the Service.

You represent that you have all rights, permissions, notices, and lawful bases needed to submit Input and use Output. You are responsible for reviewing Output before use. Because AI systems may produce similar material for different users, Output may not be unique and may not qualify for intellectual-property protection.

WorldGate and its licensors retain all rights in the Service, software, documentation, design, trademarks, and infrastructure. No rights are granted except those expressly stated in these Terms.

07 / Third parties

Providers and external services

The Service depends on third parties, including model infrastructure, hosting, authentication, database, analytics, payment, exchange-rate, and network providers. Your requests or transaction data may be processed by those providers as described in our Privacy Policy. Third-party terms may also apply to your chosen model or payment method.

We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their independent acts, content, availability, policy changes, or security. References to third-party brands are descriptive; WorldGate is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI, Anthropic, Claude, GPT, OpenRouter, or their respective owners.

08 / Availability

The Service will evolve

We aim to provide reliable access, but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available service. We may add, remove, replace, reroute, restrict, or discontinue models and features; apply rate or concurrency limits; perform maintenance; or change compatible request and response behaviour.

Beta, preview, promotional, or experimental features may be changed or withdrawn at any time and should not be used for critical workloads without appropriate fallback and validation.

09 / Suspension

Restriction and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a Terms violation, security incident, fraud, chargeback, legal requirement, provider restriction, material risk to others, or threat to the Service. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends and you must stop using issued credentials. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including payment obligations, ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—will survive.

10 / Disclaimers

Service provided “as is”

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and all outputs are provided “as is” and “as available.” WorldGate disclaims all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, that output is accurate or lawful, that defects will be corrected, or that any particular model, provider, price, saving, latency, or result will remain available.

11 / Liability

Limits and responsibility

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WorldGate and its personnel, affiliates, suppliers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity; or the cost of substitute services, even if advised of the possibility.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of USD 100 or the amount you paid to WorldGate for the Service during the three months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You will defend and indemnify WorldGate and its personnel against third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your application, Input, Output, end users, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person’s rights, except to the extent caused by WorldGate’s own unlawful conduct.

12 / General

Changes, law, and interpretation

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, where appropriate, notice through the Service. Changes apply prospectively. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights, the courts located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes. Before filing a claim, each party will try in good faith for 30 days to resolve it informally.

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified only as much as necessary and the rest remains effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganisation, financing, or transfer of the Service. These Terms and incorporated policies are the entire agreement concerning the Service.
